Challenges

The borough’s lack of a modern solution to manage their financial endeavors proved to be burdensome and progressively problematic. Dealing with the daily tasks that stemmed from inside their rudimentary paper system in combination with those that arose from outside of it tied up too much of the staff’s time. They needed to find a new solution that would allow them to efficiently keep records and run reports all while being bolstered by reliable support to help remedy their time constraints.

Action

After exploring different options, the borough decided to move forward with Edmunds GovTech (EGT). They felt EGT provided the best value and had reputable support. It also provided an extremely cost effective and modernized solution that could grow with the borough.

Results

The borough experienced a great deal of improvement after converting from their old paper system to EGT’s solutions. Having a software provider with a knowledgeable support staff alleviated many of the time-consuming roadblocks they were experiencing with their previous system. “Everything we have needed to be taken care of the support group at Edmunds was able to provide to us,” said Jefferson Hills’ Finance Director, Jon Drager. “The annual cost is also incredibly reasonable, especially when compared to other software vendors. When you consider the level of support provided, reporting capabilities, and the software being easy to use, the value is unmatched.”
