Prior to Edmunds GovTech, the Town of North East used an ERP system that prevented them from accomplishing their everyday tasks. Their previous provider did not offer modules that were seamlessly integrated, causing countless posting issues. Unfortunately, when these issues occurred, there was a lack of knowledgeable support from their previous provider’s staff to correct the problems.
Action
When the Town of North East heard about Edmunds GovTech from another municipality, they were impressed with how many modules and features they checked off from their “want” and “need” lists. In the end, the great price point of the Edmunds GovTech system was what set it apart from the large national company the Town was originally considering.
Results
Since implementing their new Edmunds software, the Town of North East has been thrilled with the consistency across all modules, allowing for easy training of new staff members. The Town’s favorite outcome of implementation is the improved reporting features that make CAFR reporting easier, and the modernization of every process from being manual and paper-driven, to being electronic and automated.
