“Edmunds GovTech’s software allows me to customize reports the way I want to. It is a fantastic solution that is super easy to learn and work with.”
Della Griffin, CGFO
Former Finance Director
Challenges
Sumter County’s previous vendor did not meet staff expectations and the office struggled with day-to-day tasks. Reporting and budgeting were key functions being performed by County staff and their efforts to upkeep those operations were hindered due to their legacy software solution.
Action
Sumter County reviewed their options and ultimately decided to move forward with Edmunds GovTech (EGT) as their new provider. In April of 2018, their offices went live with a multitude of Edmunds’ integrated modules to enhance office operations and capabilities. Since going live, they have added additional modules and had additional training to enhance their knowledge and use of the system with their dedicated Customer Success Manager.
Results
Since switching to EGT’s solutions, Sumter County has experienced significant improvements in both reporting and budgeting functions. The software’s user-friendly features have made a substantial impact, particularly the Excel export customer report writer. This tool empowers staff to efficiently handle data, create graphs with ease, and streamline their workflows.
Another standout feature is the budget exporting capability. “It pulls notes and everything we need to be emailed to department heads for review,” said Della Griffin, Sumter County’s Former Finance Director. “Any adjustments that are then made can be simply imported back to the system; it is incredibly efficient.”
EGT’s solutions have transformed Sumter County’s financial processes, showcasing the power of advanced reporting and budgeting tools.
